100% Alicante Bouschet
Mediterranean grasslands, derived from granite
This is the first premium wine made of Alicante Bouschet grapes, which was fermented and developed by the youngest daughter of the family owning the winery – Quinta da Plansel.
This wine is remarkable, which impresses with its intense berry aroma, dark chocolate, spicy notes and complexity on the palate.
Trough the 16 months maceration in noble French barrels have the wine a dense structure and a long finish.
The grapes are cooled during the night and slowly fermented for 12 days in old barriques. All grape selection and sorting is made by hand.
Aged for 16 months in french oak barrels.
8 years in good conditions.
This wine have a very deep ruby red colour with notes of wild fruits, subtle spiciness and nuances of chocolate. On the palate well structured, very floral, soft tannins, beautiful acidity and a complex, persistent finish.
Intensive flavour of black fruits, lightly hints of orange blossom and a juicy explosion on the palate gives the wine a unique touch. Trough the 15 months maceration in French barrels the wine have a dense structure and a long finish.
