Monte do Reis

This estate has the ideal conditions for the traditional grapevine varieties of the Alentejo. The heavier soils here mean that yields tend to be extremely high, so Dorina took the decision to drastically thin the bunches on the vine.  This estate is a prime example of how to achieve excellent results from scientifically-monitored micro-vinification experiments before planting large vineyards, a project which took place at the University of Évora experimental winery in Mitra.
