Monte da Fidalga

This vineyard property was only acquired in 1999, and is fully planted with vines. The acquisition of this land was a big challenge for Dorina.  At the time, our practice of systematically planting selected grapevine varieties which we knew would produce the best wine came into conflict with the opinion of the viticultural authorities because these varieties were not considered traditional. The official permission to plant these quality grapevine varieties was issued retroactively. A neighbouring 6-hectare plot to the south was leased in 2007 and also planted with the varieties.
