Wine awards and publications

The “Dorina Lindemann” premium wine was voted the best table wine in Portugal in 2009 in a national competition held by the wine and vine institute, the IVV. Dorina’s wines regularly win the highest accolades in international competitions. Her varietal, Touriga Nacional, colheita seleccionada (select harvest) has won the gold medal at the Mundus vini competition every year since its inception. In recognition of his achievements, father Jorge Böhm received the distinction of Comendador da Ordem de Mérito Agrícola (Commander of the Order of Merit for Agriculture) in 2006 from the President of the Portuguese Republic, Dr. Jorge Sampaio. He has written two books, one on Portuguese grapevine varieties and one on those of the Iberian Peninsula. These have been made available to the public on the following website in German, Portuguese and English: Each book was awarded a prize for the best book in its category by the OIV (Organisation International de la Vigne) in Paris, the first in 2010, and the second in 2014, both three years after their respective publication. In 2008 Jorge Böhm was chosen as the Portugal’s best viticulturalist by the journal Revista do Vinho.
